Three apprentices from LSH Auto Australia were awarded with the W.R Galvin OAM International Scholarship to Study Vocational Excellence on 11th July 2018. The skill development scholarship has been awarded to LSH Auto Australia since 2016 and is funded by the Workplace Institute through Skilling Australia Foundation, the philanthropic arm of WPC Group.
The scholarship programme sponsors the participating apprentices to travel to the United States for a cultural and career development tour, which aims for them to witness first-hand how Mercedes-Benz America approach skills in the automotive area, and to enrich their knowledge and development in the workplace. It also gives them the opportunities to share the fulfilling experience with other apprentices and co-workers when back.
The three apprentices from LSH Auto Australia awarded with the scholarship – Fearghus Von Prott from Mercedes-Benz Sydney, Mikaela Lawrence from Mercedes-Benz Brisbane and Bianka Chiodo from Mercedes-Benz Melbourne – will travel to the United States in September 2018.
