INTRODUCTION Our Machinery division commenced operation in 1994 and has since grown healthily, currently has over 3,000 employees. Primarily, we distribute Caterpillar heavy equipment and engines, and provide related product-support services in eastern, northern Chinese Mainland and Taiwan Region. We also provide business-related capital financing for our corporate customers in Chinese Mainland. In over 30 years, we have made great strides in the machinery distribution industry. Staying true to our values of Integrity, Customer Focus and Professionalism, we have grown to become the world’s largest Caterpillar hydraulic excavators dealer and China’s largest Caterpillar machine and engine dealer. We have also successfully enhanced our product portfolio to include Perkins, SEM, Solar Turbines and FG Wilson products.

MACHINERY DIVISIONOver the years, we have developed a unique, successful integrated business model covering marketing and distribution of new and used machinery and equipment, rental business and comprehensive product support, with the aim of providing logistics and financing to our customers using a total solution approach. Particularly, our Used Equipment Centre in Yangzhou has helped to meet customers’ needs and facilitated the rebuilding and supply of more than 1,400 used equipment to our customers in 2023 and over 25,000 in total since its operation from 2006. This has boosted our business and customer loyalty as customers enjoy complete, one-stop solutions to their equipment purchasing needs.

To facilitate further growth, and heighten focus and support for our engine customers, we have strengthened our capability to become a total solution provider in each of the segments we serve. One key outcome of this effort in 2013 was the transformation of the mixed-use workshop facility in Kunshan, Chinese Mainland into a dedicated engine facility that is known today as the Kunshan Engine Centre. Since then, capabilities have been added such as a dedicated electrical panel shop and a large generator set package test cell. ISO 9001 certification was awarded to support the operation and this has been maintained and expanded to include all design and packaging operations. The Kunshan Engine Centre has received Caterpillar and industry accreditations along the way, which include the approval of the China Classification Society for generator set manufacturing, and that of Det Norske Veritas for electrical control and monitoring panels. Since its inception, the centre has built 460 generator set packages and provided 4,000 control and monitoring solutions for the support of our marine, offshore, industrial, electric power and gas customers.

On 18 March 2024, Bob De Lange, President of Caterpillar Group, visited the headquarters of Lei Shing Hong Machinery at Kunshan. Lei Shing Hong Machinery’s Chairman, Lawrence Poh, and team members welcomed Bob and his entourage, and the two sides officially met and had a pleasant conversation and exchange.

The management of both parties visited the Digital Innovation Center, Parts Warehouse, and Kunshan Engine Center of Lei Shing Hong Machinery, and shared the experience and achievements of Lei Shing Hong Machinery in digital excellent management, as well as the operation and management of the parts warehouse and maintenance workshop.

As the most loyal partner of Caterpillar, Lei Shing Hong Machinery will continue to work with Caterpillar to provide customers with excellent services and comprehensive solutions to build a better China together.

Lei Shing Hong Energy Wins 2023 Distributed Energy Excellence Project Technology Innovation Award 2023-Dec-15 Machinery

On 12 December 2023, the 19th International Forum on Distributed Energy was held in Chongqing. The forum was hosted by the Distributed Energy Professional Committee of the China Energy Research Society (CERS) and China Energy Net, and co-sponsored by Caterpillar. The conference invited industry experts and scholars from China Energy Research Society, Chongqing Municipal Energy Bureau, Caterpillar, etc. to deeply analyze the impact of the new situation on the development of distributed energy in China, as well as the future development trends and prospects of the industry, from various aspects such as the situation, challenges, experience, and suggestions, focusing on the theme of "Building a New Distributed Energy Industry and Supporting the Construction of a New Energy System".

Lei Shing Hong Energy attended the conference as a special invited manufacturer, and in the forum with the theme of "Exploring Regional Source, Grid, Load and Storage Integration Mode", Ms. Zhou Xiaohong, sales manager of Lei Shing Hong Energy Solar Gas Turbine, shared the topic of "Construction and Application of Integrated Energy Management Platform Based on Multi-Complementary Energy", focusing on the development, application and expansion of "Lei Shing Hong Smart Energy Platform", which was well received by the audience.

The conference conducted comprehensive evaluation to select outstanding distributed energy projects for 2023. Lei Shing Hong Energy’s "Smart Energy Platform" won the "Technological Innovation Award" and the award was received by Shen Fei (first from left), technical director of Lei Shing Hong Smart Energy Platform.

This conference was a complete success. The great responsibility of the development of distributed energy construction from policy promotion to market-driven process has a long journey ahead. LSH Machinery Group Supporting Wuhan in 24 Hour Response – Donation, Preparation and Installation of Power Generators for Newly-Built Wuhan Hospital On 2nd February 2020, when LSH Machinery Group was informed of the urgent need for four diesel generators to power the operation of Leishenshan Hospital (a newly-built hospital for the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan) by 6th February by China Construction Third Engineering Division, the team immediately started an emergency procedure. LSH Machinery Group Supporting Wuhan in 24 Hour Response – Donation, Preparation and Installation of Power Generators for Newly-Built Wuhan Hospital 2020-Feb-11 Machinery

On 2nd February 2020, when LSH Machinery Group was informed of the urgent need for four diesel generators to power the operation of Leishenshan Hospital (a newly-built hospital for the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan) by 6th February by China Construction Third Engineering Division, the team immediately started an emergency procedure. It convened relevant companies and departments towards the urgent needs of Wuhan area.

A project team was immediately assembled to cover all aspects such as allocating engines, testing and related logistics to ensure the generators be delivered in time. It could be guaranteed that products could arrive at Leishenshan Hospital within 24 hours.

By special efforts including overnight power tests and safety checks, the 24-hour availability promise could be kept in terms of the product. At the same time, Lei Shing Hong logistics made multiple coordination efforts to ensure the transportation approval procedures. Donated by Lei Shing Hong Machinery, the selected Perkins diesel generator units of PowerLink were successfully delivered to Leishenshan Hospital on 3rd February, in time providing stable power supply for the coming hospital operation start.

Lei Shing Hong Machinery Group also organized service teams to frontline providing free service and engineering support to all the excavators, graders and many other different types of machinery equipment working onsite day and night.

Within a short notice window of 24 hours, Lei Shing Hong Machinery Group rapidly integrated resources, mobilized all members and committed a quick response. Everyone in Lei Shing Hong Machinery did their best to support Wuhan as an effort to support people in need.

On 27th April 2019, a public welfare event themed as “Let’s Sing Together” was held in Kunshan headquarters of Lei Shing Hong Machinery. The event is jointly organized by Shanghai Mei’ai Integration Center of Art & Public Welfare Development, Caterpillar and Lei Shing Hong Machinery. After over one month of planning and preparation, a group of 23 visually impaired people from Mei’ai Integration Centre and more than 30 volunteers from Caterpillar and Lei Shing Hong share the world of each other and get along well in harmony through listening and heart-to-heart communication.
