LSH Credit Australia: Feeding people who experience food insecurity in the community 2024-12-11 Financial Services

On 11 December 2024, both the Sydney and Melbourne teams of LSH Credit Australia visited “Our Big Kitchen” in Bondi, Sydney, a community kitchen that inspires individuals to come together to help people who experience food insecurity.

LSHC AU shares Our Big Kitchen’s belief in the power of giving back to the community. With the small team, it is proud to have prepared over 120 packaged meals in 2 hours. Whilst the task was to prepare and distribute meals to those in need of food, the spirit and journey of how the meal was made was equally important. From preparing the ingredients, to cooking and packing the food together, the team enjoyed the opportunity to bond and to serve.

LSH Auto Australia’s apprenticeship scholarship winners complete a week of learning and sharing in the UK 2024-12-05 Automobile

They won a scholarship trip to the UK but the real prize is in the cross-border experience, sharing and learning.

Apprentices Adriano Minna of Mercedes-Benz Sydney, Louis Wade of Mercedes-Benz Melbourne, and Ray Sorrell of Mercedes-Benz Brisbane have recently concluded their scholarship stint in the UK.

As part of LSH Auto Australia’s apprenticeship scholarship program, the trio visited our LSH Auto dealerships in Birmingham and our state-of-the-art Stockport facility — one of the largest Mercedes-Benz facilities in Europe.

Their journey offered valuable insights into diverse operational environments, workplace training, and skills development.

A highlight was the chance to engage with local automotive schools and sharing their passion and journey.

The collaboration between our LSH Auto UK Limited team and WPC Group is inspiring and is another progressive step towards investing in nurturing new talents for the road ahead.

Melbourne Tees Off for the LSH Auto Australia Golf Cup - and for a Good Cause 2024-11-07 Automobile

The qualifying round of the LSH Auto Australia Golf Cup for those in Melbourne took place at the Victoria Golf Club, one of Melbourne’s famous sand-belt courses.

A total of 55 LSH Auto Melbourne’s guests participated and it included some very special guests:

Radio personality Jason Richardson, Paris Olympics hurdler Tayleb Willis, broadcaster and columnist Steve Price, comedian Sam Taunton, Chief Mercedes-Benz Driver Trainer Peter Hackett, jockey Damien Oliver and the founder of the Chain Reaction Foundation Berrick Wilson.

The competition, supported by excellent hospitality, resulted in six category winners who now have the opportunity to compete in the LSH Auto Australia Golf Cup Final which will be held early next year at Tasmania’s stunning Barnbougle course on the Apple Ilse’s North-East coast.

Participants, once again, helped to contribute funds towards a worthy cause - on this occasion, the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation, which has enjoyed long support from LSH Auto Australia, and which, through its annual corporate week-long cycle rides, raises funds in support of children’s charities.

Congratulations to the winners and best of luck at the annual LSH Auto Australia Golf Cup Final.

A great day of golf and all for a good cause.

LSH Credit UK supporting the local nature park 2024-09-20 Financial Services

The LSH Credit UK team were delighted to spend the day working at the Mersey Vale Nature Park in Stockport, near Manchester, and supporting the local community.

Mersey Vale Nature Park is a local nature reserve operated by Stockport Council. It provides a habitat for a range of local wildlife and green spaces for the local community. It also houses a large orchard, which provides liveable space for wildlife, cools the urban environment and helps prevent flooding during periods of significant rainfall (not uncommon around Manchester).

This is the second time we have worked at the nature park. Last year, we worked to fertilise and prune the orchard trees. This year, we tackled a large overgrown area, cutting back brambles and dead trees to provide more clear space. After a fruitful day, the team cleared a large space which can now be used for other nature park initiatives.
