With the COVID-19 pandemic largely contained in China, LSH Auto China outlets across the nation have been back at work since February. All employees in China are in their offices and at dealerships and service centres delivering high-quality customer service while complying with local government requirements and relevant policies. LSH Auto China's employees returned to work enthusiastically to continue to put customers first, follow preventive guidelines to provide quality, meticulous, and conscientious service.
Dealer Outlets Take Measures to Provide Customers with Safe and Outstanding Service
Although the pandemic has been effectively contained, some clients may still be wary of going to public places. To ensure customers have access to product information from home, LSH Auto China’s frontline sales and marketing teams are utilising real-time communication tools and online platforms to showcase products and services. For example, the team now uses TikTok Live 360 to display vehicles and answer customer queries in real time, make clients feel like they are viewing the vehicles in person. They also deliver value-added services such as online booking and door-to-door vehicle delivery to ensure client needs are satisfied beyond expectations during this challenging period.
To ensure safety, LSH Auto China has strengthened disinfection and cleaning procedures at all of its showrooms and service centres. This includes taking the temperature of all customers and employees arriving at showrooms, requiring employees to wear masks at all times, ensuring safe distancing between people, and providing hand sanitiser. These measures combine to create a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
Safety Measures Help Employees Focus on Customer Service
LSH Auto China has always been committed to ensuring the health and safety of its employees. During this special time, employees at all outlets across China are working in shifts and are provided with masks and disinfectant wipes in accordance with government guidelines. The company also provides children's masks for employees with families, ensuring that they can concentrate on their work knowing that their families are safe.
Responding to the Government's Call and Giving Back to Communities
LSH Auto China considers community service part of its DNA and has remained actively involved in community service during this challenging time.
From February to April, LSH Auto China, the Beijing Youth Development Foundation, and the Beijing LSH Charitable Foundation worked together to deliver care packages to the families of frontline medical heroes in Beijing. LSH Auto China supported the initiative by donating care packages containing fresh fruits and vegetables to show their appreciation for the selfless work of medical staff who have helped to control the pandemic. The eight-week initiative, which has now come to an end, was praised by the local government and many sectors of society expressed their appreciation.
Some of LSH Auto's outlets in Eastern China organised tree-planting events to add greenery to the landscape. In total, 60 children participated in the initiative.
As one of the world’s leading premium automobile dealer groups, LSH Auto International has always strived to deliver innovative products and services. LSH Auto Australia is continuing its successful partnership with the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation in support of the 2020 fundraising rides.
Following support of the 2019 events, which raised over $3.2 million in aid of children’s charities, LSH Auto again provided the lead, support and logistic vehicles for the 2020 events.
The 2020 ride for riders from the state of Victoria took place in Tasmania over a week in early March and raised close to $1 million. With the onset of current travel restrictions due to COVID-19, the remaining rides for 2020 have been cancelled. However, the planning for the 2021 season of fundraising rides has already begun.
LSH Auto Australia Managing Director, John Good, presented the first support vehicle to Chain Reaction CEO John Ward at Mercedes-Benz Melbourne. “We take great pride in our continued support of the Chain Reaction Foundation. The outstanding work they do in engaging with business community has raised close to $30 million for children’s charities in the 12 years events have been run. Our ongoing contribution is part of ensuring that LSH Auto is a valuable member of the communities in which we operate. Obviously, it is a shame that the remaining rides for 2020 could not take place, but we are certain that the 2021 Chain Reaction fundraising rides, with our support, will mark a very strong return for the events.”
In response to the government’s call, LSH Auto China partnered with the Beijing Youth Development Foundation to support the medical heroes who are fighting COVID-19 in the city. The initiative, entitled “Helping Medical Heroes – Care Packages for Caregivers”, was launched to deliver much needed food and supplies to frontline medical staff as well as their families in Beijing.
LSH Auto China team participating in the initiative
The situation in Beijing has gradually improved since March. People’s lives have been going back to normal and many businesses have reopened. However, we can’t declare victory over the outbreak yet, as many medical staff continue to work long hours to take care for patients.
Participating in the “Helping Medical Heroes” program is our small way to express our appreciation to the selfless medical heroes who continue to work in the front line. Since the beginning of March, LSH Auto China, the Beijing Youth Development Foundation and other supporters have donated weekly care packages containing a week’s supply of fresh fruit and vegetables. The program is funded through Beijing Youth Development Foundation’s channels. Every Saturday the parcels are delivered by professional couriers to the families of 1,401 frontline medical workers. The campaign will continue for a total of two months, until the end of April.
LSH Auto China responded to the initiative quickly through cooperation with Beijing LSH Charitable Foundation and voluntary donations by its staff, as the Helping Medical Heroes initiative is the perfect way to honour and support Beijing’s frontline medical professionals.
Ms. Qian Ronghui, Secretary General of the Beijing Youth Development Foundation, said: “We would like to thank LSH for its tremendous support in expressing our thanks to the medical staff in Beijing. We have worked alongside LSH for many years and appreciate this opportunity to deepen our efforts to promote community service. We also look forward to having more volunteers join these efforts. We believe standing together will enable us to weather the storm.”
In addition to helping support the medical community in Beijing, The LSH Auto China team has worked to ensure the safety and health of our employees in China since the outbreak. We have also followed government’s order to resume our business in a safe and orderly manner to fulfil our social responsibility.
