Recently, LSH Auto Australia was delighted to announce that it would be partnering with the Starlight Children's Foundation in its charity works for 2019. As a member of Lei Shing Hong Group, philanthropy and giving back to communities where it operates is core to its group DNA.
Supporting Children's Charities
In March 2019, LSH Auto Australia became the first automotive partner for Starlight, kicking off the official relationship during a gala event with an announcement of support and a special donation.
LSH Auto only entered Australia in June 2015 and has since been supporting charity works in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Its newly-announced partner, the Starlight Children’s Foundation, is recognised as a leader in supporting children and teens with major illnesses.
Created to brighten the lives of such children, teens, and their families, Starlight helps seriously ill children and teens re-discover the joys of childhood by providing much-needed treats and entertainment during their difficult days in hospital and when enduring treatment.
Starlight is also proud to be a local Australian organisation and, as such, a perfect partner for LSH Auto's philanthropic works in Australia. The latest partnership further complements its long-term children-focused CSR activities in Australia, such as its commitments to Act For Kids (providing counselling to neglected children).
No Easy Ride
Leveraging its resources as a dealer group and aiming to contribute in more creative and meaningful ways, LSH Auto Australia has also announced its support for the Chain Reaction series of fundraising bike rides, as the “Official Vehicle Partner”.
Chain Reaction is the “Ultimate Corporate Bike Challenge”, which raises money for sick children by challenging senior executives with a passion for cycling and philanthropy. The average rider raises over A$22,000 in sponsorship and donations.
Peloton Support Across Australia
LSH Auto Australia is delighted to be providing six vehicles to the 2019 Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation series of long-distance fundraising rides. The series kicked off in March 2019, with the ride starting from Sydney to Melbourne. Further rides from Canberra to Melbourne and Melbourne to Sydney also benefited from LSH Auto's peloton support. The series of events culminates in October with the Women's 300, on one of Australia's most beautiful cycling routes for 300 km along the Sunshine Coast.
Vehicles supplied by LSH Auto Australia’s operations in Mercedes-Benz Melbourne, Mercedes-Benz Sydney and Mercedes-Benz Brisbane will be leading and accompanying the cycling peloton, providing medical and logistics support all the way.
The Starlight Children’s Foundation will be one of the charities benefitting from Chain Reaction in 2019, which aims to raise more than A$3,500,000 for its beneficiaries this year.
LSH Auto Australia Managing Director, John Good, welcomed the partnership: “Chain Reaction’s support for children and young people, at times of great stress, is totally in keeping with our aim to be a contributing member of our communities. We are proud to be supporting the efforts of all riders.”
