Mercedes-Benz Brisbane, a member of LSH Auto Australia, unveiled its plans to open its first boutique retail offering in mid-August 2018. Located in the heart of Brisbane’s golden triangle district at 300 Adelaide Street, the boutique will offer a series of automotive services to those living and working in the CBD. These include test drives booking of the latest Mercedes-Benz vehicles, service booking for their own car and merchandise purchasing.
The concept of the boutique is a demonstration of Mercedes-Benz Brisbane’s agile approach to retail and customer behaviour, creating a fusion of brand and lifestyle at its heart. According to Shane Parkins, Mercedes-Benz Brisbane Dealer Principal, bringing this unique concept to Brisbane provide a new touchpoint for existing clientele and create opportunity for the brand to reach a new customer base.
The showroom will be positioned alongside retail partner Motorwagen, a new café/restaurant that offers a contemporary dining experience with an emphasis on house-made dishes and best local produce.
Three apprentices from LSH Auto Australia were awarded with the W.R Galvin OAM International Scholarship to Study Vocational Excellence on 11th July 2018. The skill development scholarship has been awarded to LSH Auto Australia since 2016 and is funded by the Workplace Institute through Skilling Australia Foundation, the philanthropic arm of WPC Group.
The scholarship programme sponsors the participating apprentices to travel to the United States for a cultural and career development tour, which aims for them to witness first-hand how Mercedes-Benz America approach skills in the automotive area, and to enrich their knowledge and development in the workplace. It also gives them the opportunities to share the fulfilling experience with other apprentices and co-workers when back.
The three apprentices from LSH Auto Australia awarded with the scholarship - Fearghus Von Prott from Mercedes-Benz Sydney, Mikaela Lawrence from Mercedes-Benz Brisbane and Bianka Chiodo from Mercedes-Benz Melbourne - will travel to the United States in September 2018.
LSH Auto ranked among the top five dealer groups for the ninth consecutive year in the “2018 Top 100 Automobile Dealer Groups in China” announced on 17th May 2018. This is also the third year for LSH Auto to be the third largest dealer group, after 2010 and 2017.
At the award ceremony, LSH Auto was also awarded the "2018 Top 100 Automobile Dealer Groups in China - Mercedes-Benz Operational Excellence Award” and the “2018 Automobile Industry Digital Innovation Award ", presented by China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).
On 11th May 2018, the LSH Auto Hope (Primary) School and the LSH Auto Hope (Secondary) School held ceremonies to mark their respective openings in Anhui Province. The two schools are located in Xicheng Village, Baihu Town of Lujiang County, and Dongxixi Township, Huoshan County of Liu’an City, respectively.
Yongsan Sports Automobile Limited (a member of Lei Shing Hong group) held its official opening of Porsche Centre Yongsan on 11th April 2018 and had the honor of Porsche AG Sales and Marketing board member, Mr. Detlev Von Platen gracing the event.
Porsche Centre Yongsan opened in December 2017 and is the first Porsche Centre in the Gangbuk area with cutting-edge technology installed in showrooms and workshop, providing premium service and products to its customers.
Furthermore, PC Yongsan is one of the few pilot showrooms in the world and the first showroom in Korea to apply the digitalization concept, which is part of Porsche’s Digitalization Strategy.
A special event celebrating the 1000th Panamera delivery was organized as well with the opening event. Mr. Detlev Von Platen and Mr. Michael Kirsch, Managing Director of Porsche Korea participated in the event.
